Racers v Paisley Pirates. Racers covers 1954-58 each carried a different
photograph. This one shows, on the right, Harringay's long serving star Bill
Glennie, elected to the British Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 1951 and the Russian netminder
Nikolai Puchkov, inducted into the Russian Hall of Fame in 2004. By
coincidence, both died during 2005. Glennie in Scotland on 11 March and Puckov five months later on 8 August.
The caption under the picture reads "Bill Glennie's first period hat-trick against
the Russians on Monday was one of the highlights of his great career. In this action shot, Bill and 'Maisy'
are making a characteristic raid on the Russians' net."
