- Born in Blairhall, Fife, Scotland. Defenceman. The nickname Tuck arose
from his infant brother's attempt to pronounce Tom. A miner at Blairhall
Colliery when selected to play for Great Britain
at the Olympics, the National Coal Board made a short film
about him, which was included in their weekly Mining Review newsreel - it
included the Vikings at practice and Tuck working underground at Blairhall Colliery.
Played against the New York Rangers in an exhibition match in
Guelph.
Worked in a gold mine during his season with Val d’Or Miners.
