Born Dearborn, Michigan, USA.
Club Career : Played for Toronto Maple Leafs 1984-91, Washington Capitals 1991-93, Boston Bruins 1993-94, San Jose Sharks 1996-98. Iafrate missed the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons through injury and although he signed for Carolina Hurricanes in 1998 injury prevented him from starting the 1998-99 season.
Honours : NHL All-Star Second Team defenceman 1992-93.
