Eklund, Per-Erik 'Pelle' (1963- )
Born in Stockholm, Sweden. Forward. Played for his country in 126 games (19 goals). Philadelphia Flyers 8th choice, 167th overall in the NHL draft 1983. In his 9 NHL seasons he scored 120 goals and had 335 assists in 594 games. Held the record of fastest goal in Stanley Cup, from start of a period other than the first when he scored after 6 seconds in the second period the 25th of April 1989. One of eight Swedish players that have scored three goals in a Stanley Cup game.
International Career : Played for Sweden between 1984 and 1996 (competed in 6 World Championships, the 1984 Olympics and the 1984 Canada Cup).
Club Career : Played for IF Brommapojkarna, Stocksunds IF, AIK 1982-85, Philadelphia Flyers 1985-93, Philadelphia Flyers & Dallas Stars 1993-94 and Leksands IF 1994- .
Medals : Won World Championship gold in 1991.
Won European Championship gold in 1990.
Won Olympic bronze in 1984.
Won the Swedish Championship in 1984.
Honours : Won the Guldpucken Award in 1983-84.
Won the Guldhjälmen Award in 1994-95.

Medals : Won World Championship gold in 1987.
Won Olympic bronze in 1984 and 1988.
