- Ebermann, Bohuslav (1948- )
- Born in Vochov, Czechoslovakia. Played both left-wing and right-wing. Considered to be
one of the fastest skaters ever. He was one of the few players who could turn on a
sixpence at full speed. Deadly on breakaways. Played mostly on a line together with Josef Augusta and Ivan Hlinka,
and also played a lot with Vladimir Martinec and Jiri Novák (on the national team from 1977). Played 12
seasons and 427 league games in Czechoslovakia (211 goals) winning the Czechoslovakian Championship in 1969 and
1970.
International Career : Played for Czechoslovakia 177 times (80 goals), appearing in six
World Championships between 1974 and 1981 (gold
medal in 1977). Played in the 1976 and 1980 Olympics. Played
in the 1976 Canada Cup.
Club Career : Played for Skoda
Plzen 1956-68, Dukla Jihlava 1968-70, Skoda Plzen
1970-81, HC Lausanne 1981-83 and CSG Grenoble 1983-88. He was a player/coach in the 1st
French division as late as 1996.
